Restored Photo Of Major John Wesley Powell With New Background
This was an old and badly faded public domain photograph from 1896 of the famous Grand Canyon and Colorado River explorer, Major John Wesley Powell that I restored and enhanced. I also placed Powell and a Pauite Indian tribe member he was chatting with in this photo in a new and dramatic background from the Lee’s Ferry Recreation area in Northern, Arizona. The landscape in the background is part of the Vermilion Cliffs monument not far from a peak named after Major Powell.
